I have an iPhone 7 (not Plus) and I’m using an Anker PowerCore II 6700 and after constant monitoring, I’ve only seen the charging current at 12W. Is that the hardware limitation?
Believe it’s a hardware limitation of the phone. iPhone 6 was 10w and most reports mention the iPhone 7 being able to hit between 11-12w.
Correct, Apple doesnt utilize a fast charge technology per se. Instead they just opt to feed in more current until it reaches cap (2.4A). This aproach will limit hardware to about 12 Watts of maximum charge.
In addition, his power bank cannot deliver more than 12W. PowerCore II 6700 does not feature PowerIQ 2.0.
Missed that, that’s what I get for logging on late at night
