My PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C cannot quick charge my Redmi K20 Pro

Hi I recently bought PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C and when I tried using it to charge my phone, a Redmi K20 Pro, there is no “quick charge” notification that pops up on my phone. I tried using all the cables that I had. The cable that came with my phone, the A to C cable from the PowerCore+and the C to C cable from the PowerCore+ but none of them can quick charge my phone. Only when I plugged it into the wall charger will the “quick charge” notification pops up. Does this mean that my product is defective? Incompatible? Should I get a refund for this?


That phone requires a Quickcharge 4.0 or USB-C output of 18 to 27 w to fully enable fast charging. The baterypack you have is only capable of outputting 15w of power which may not be enough to trigger fast charge on your phone


That model PowerCore will not fast charge any device. It supports standard 15W USB-C output. It does not support fast charging tech such as USB Power Delivery, Quick Charge, etc.

As your phone supports Quick Charge 4+ (meaning it’ll work with either USB Power Delivery or Quick Charge 3.0) you’d need a different model power bank to get fast charging speeds. Depending on your habits you may not need fast charging. If traveling you can connect the power bank to the phone while the phone has a nearly full battery.
