I bought an Anker PowerCore 10000 PD (input:18W). Unfortunately, there was no wall adapter included in the package.
Since I already have an Apple 61W usb‐c power adapter for my Macbook …
specs are the following:
Ports: USB-C x1
USB-C Output: 5V/2.4A, 9V/3A, 20V/3A
Power Input: 100-204V, 1.5A, 50/60Hz
Is it safe to charge my 10000PD diretly from wall with this adapter?
Will the 61W damage my powerbank?
Thanks in advance!
To the best of my knowledge, it is.
Like @Anjou1888 said, I think it is safe to use (as per the specs you provided). Since the MacBook brick can output different levels of volts and amps, it should charge your 10000PD at the safe charging rate
It is fine to use the Apple 61W USB-C with the PowerCore 10000 PD. If you have a 2016-2017 13-inch MacBook Pro it’ll charge at 9V/2A. If you have a 2018 13-inch MacBook Pro it’ll charge at 15V/1.2A. The later is more efficient, but either will charge near the same rate. And with only 10,000mAh you wouldn’t notice a difference unless you were timing them.
Nice buy, As the others mentioned, I believe the charger you mentioned should work.
Many thanks to all of you for your feedback
